Theme:  FOSTERING HOPE & COMMUNITY

Multiple Entries Permitted – Artists may enter two pieces and may enter in more than one category if applicable, as space permits. Each entry requires a separate completed application form, payment, and image (if applicable).

4 Prizes will be awarded to ONE winner from each category as determined by ballot entry by People’s Choice Voting.

All work must be registered, ready to hang or display, and must be suitable for installation or it may be rejected from the show without refund. Ensure work is completely dry, set, cured, fixed, and/or protected. Labels will be provided and details are to be confirmed by the artists at drop-off. Discrepancies must be noted at drop-off or no changes will be made. The image and/or artist statement you submit may be used for promotional purposes for this or future art shows, and/or featured on social media.

2D artwork* must be wired for easy hanging with wire 2″ below the top edge of the work. Artwork that is not wired properly will not be hung in the show and no refund will be provided.
Youth entries are limited to 2D art with maximum dimensions of 18×18 inches to the outer edge of canvas or frame.

3D artwork* must be able to be set on a table or shelf without instruction. Affix the label on the bottom of the piece or in an inconspicuous place.

*Heavy, large, or works with special installation requirements are the sole responsibility of the artist, requiring advanced notice & occurs by appointment only or art will be refused without refund. Heavy frames with glass may be returned until May 7, 2025, if they cannot be safely hung.

Macdonald Museum Employees and Board of Directors are ineligible to win a prize. They may enter the show for display & sale purposes only at a reduced rate of $10/entry.

The show is being directed by an experienced artist, art event coordinator, juried art show director & curator. Although all reasonable efforts will be made to ensure art is carefully handled and displayed by museum volunteers, it is recommended that your art is insured if it is of significant value.

Please note this is a family friendly exhibit and art that is deemed inappropriate may be rejected without refund.

Terms subject to change at the discretion of the Macdonald Museum as needed including entry deadlines if space is filled to capacity.

Artists are required to leave their artwork at the Macdonald Museum for the full duration of the show.
It is understood that you are leaving your art in a public place and at your own risk. Artist insurance is advised.

The Macdonald Museum, the Annapolis Valley Historical Society, their employees, board members, members, volunteers, sponsors, or affiliates thereof, are not responsible for any theft, loss, or damage.

Your submission may be used for promotional purposes for this or future art shows, and/or featured on social media.
